Eminence Legend 105 Guitar Speaker (10 Inch, 75 Watts, 16 Ohms) Feature

  • Lots of punch and crunch!
  • A perfect speaker for anyone playing Country, Blues, or Rockabilly
  • Eminence is committed to quality and guarantees all of its speakers for 7 years
When you need a little extra power, this model is perfect as a general replacement. It has been and continues to be original equipment in many of your favorites. Lots of punch and crunch! Eminence guitar speaker guru (and Southern-style Rock/Blues/Country/Rockabilly guitar master) Greg Martin has them loaded in his Super Reverb! He suggests using this speaker in recording studios as well as in 4x10 cabinets for live gigs. Greg describes the tone as very 'jangly' with a meaty low-end and lots of honk. It would be a perfect speaker for anyone playing Country, Blues, or Rockabilly. This speaker works well with Rickenbacker guitars, a Super Reverb or a Super. Greg Martin Along with his band, The Kentucky HeadHunters, Greg Martin has helped reshape the face of country music. To date the HeadHunters have released 6 albums, winning countless awards and Grammies. In 1992 Greg filled in for injured Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Ed King. The HeadHunters have also collaborated with the great Johnnie Johnson on a stellar rockin' blues CD 'That'll Work!'. Johnnie was recently inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame by Rolling Stone Keith Richards. Greg will soon release a Gospel Blues CD with former Wet Willie singer Jimmy Hall entitled 'The Revelators'. Eminence chose several amps and guitars for Greg's tonal analysis to make sure that you get the most realistic descriptions possible. Each description was derived from using the gear listed below in various combinations: Guitars: 1960 Fender Stratocaster and a re-issue Les Paul with Tom Holmes pickups. Amps: 1965 Fender Vibroverb; Fender 'The Twin'; T35 Top Hat Head with 4-6V6 tubes; 1973 Marshall Non-Master Volume Head with 2-EL34 tubes. Eminence Guitar Legends are specially designed for electric guitar amplifiers. Tuned by skilled ears, these hand-built specials feature a range of materials and ideas from nearly 40 years experience. Models such as the LEGEND B15, 121 and Modeling 12 are state of

  • Very loud, gutsy, and meaty tone
  • Singing highs and nice, clear overtones
  • Eminence is committed to quality and guarantees all of its speakers for 7 years
Very loud, gutsy, and meaty tone with singing highs and nice, clear overtones. Pick Your Sound Electric guitars, guitar amplification, and the birth of Rock-n-Roll in the 1950's collectively established a new use for loudspeakers. Speaker choices were limited in those days and amplifier manufacturers had to purchase products that were common to other applications. Usually, this meant a low-power speaker, often with an Alnico magnet, and limited cone and coil travel. Due to the nature of the speaker's construction, the sound of the guitar and amplifier combination was impacted by the speaker design. Amplified guitar was a bit more aggressive duty than most other speaker applications at the time and the speakers were frequently challenged in terms of their mechanical movement and linearity. Guitarist learned how to control these non-linearities and use the resulting tonal characteristics to their advantage. Speaker break-up became cool and was a desired feature by most guitarists. The great guitar tones we know now are a result of those events. Although there are a multitude of distinctive guitar speaker tones available today, they can be broken down into two main categories. We have Marshall and Celestion to thank for the distinctively "British tones" that we are so familiar with. Fender, Peavey, and SLM (Crate/Ampeg) worked with speaker companies like Eminence, Oxford, CTS, JBL, and Electrovoice to establish tones that are distinctively "American". Eminence is proud to present the Patriot and Redcoat series of guitar speakers. Incorporating both British and American cone technology into speakers that we manufacture in the USA gives us the ability to provide you with virtually any tone you desire. Be it British or American, clean or dirty, big bass or screaming highs, we have a speaker that will allow you to "Pick Your Sound". The Value of Eminence Eminence wants to make sure their customers know exact
